Shrine with spiral pattern

Shelter has two removable nesting blocks. Each block is a solid piece of mahogany with ten drilled out holes where a female bee will lay her eggs.

Material:

Salvaged wood frame with reclaimed mahogany insert blocks from Taylor Guitars.

Copper roof with a solar powered lantern and rechargeable battery.

Dimensions - 15" x 5.5" x 5.5"

A serial number is stamped on each shelter.

Directions:

Install your Shrine in the garden where plants often bloom. Be sure the nesting tunnels face east, so the morning sun will warm the nest. Install between 2-5 feet off of the ground so the bees can easily fly from the pollen source to the nesting tunnel.

Maintenance:

After each use by a bee, the nesting tunnel must be cleaned. Simply remove the nest block from the frame and clean out the tunnel with a small file or bottle brush. If the debirs is hard mud or resin you can also use a powerdrill with a long bit to scrap the tunnel walls clean. Shake out the debris so the tunnel is clean for another female bee.
